Good Governance

In the recent staff survey it became clear that of the 1700 questionnaires returned only 3 staff (one of them the author) knew that we had a set of Guidelines on Good Governance. This is an unacceptable situation. If the plant were to be inspected tomorrow we could be closed down by the industry regulators. What's more, there can be no excuses since the guidelines have been freely available for all to see on the intranet since 2005.

I should like to bring the Guidelines to the attention of all staff. They are displayed prominently under the Governance and IT Policies on the intranet.

• Simply click on the Governance button.
• Click on Relations and open the Documents subfolder.
• Open the folder SOPs and click on the Information subfolder.
• Open the subfolder Important and select the document GG101_Aug_2005.mib.
• Please do not doubleclick as this document is not readable with any of our standard office applications.
• Instead select Open With and opt to Search Web for the package Microsoft Information Burial.

No excuses.
