360 Degree Feedback

Personally I feared this a rather futile exercise but I understand that many of you found it useful. I admit that I was personally dismayed to find that all my direct reports considered me a "control freak". However, I understand that my initial response of firing them all was misguided. HR have informed me that the purpose of 360 Feedback is to provide me with constructive feedback on my management style and not to "flush out the vermin" as I may have erroneously described it at the time. I would like to thank all my staff for taking the time out to go through this process and give special thanks to those who took pains to document their feedback with good, sound motivating examples from my everyday working dealings with staff. I feel sure this will inform my future management practice and I should like to thank HR for pointing out the positive benefits accruing from this process.

All staff have been reinstated and I am confident that with their help I can fine tune my management style. I know I can count on your support.

    A top tip is not to hit the"reply to all" button on Microsoft Outlook when sending out this type of request
